Deferred Action

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

Under certain circumstances it may be possible to avoid removal / deportation if you arrived in the United States as a child and remained in the US without proper authorization. While new applications for DACA are not being accepted, we can assist with renewals and defend against recission.

The DACA policy can grant a two year deferred action for undocumented immigrants who were brought into the country unlawfully by their parents.

Eligibility Requirements
  • You are under the age of 31 (as of June 15, 2012)
  • You entered the U.S. before reaching the age of 16
  • You have resided in the U.S. continuously since June 15, 2007
  • You were in the U.S. on June 15, 2012 and at the time your DACA application was requested
  • You entered illegally (or lawful immigration status expired) before June 15, 2012
  • You are currently enrolled in school; have graduated, obtained certificate of high school completion, or general education development (GED) certificate; or was honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces (or Coast Guard)
  • You are not considered a threat to national security
  • You were not convicted of a felony, a "significant" misdemeanor, or three misdemeanors
Please Note

The rules surrounding deferred action are complex and may be changing. Please consult one of our experienced immigration lawyers for the most up to date guidance on eligibility for deferred action.

Today I received my green card... you guys changed my life!

There is no word enough to thank Ram and his people. I came to him almost two years ago and today I received my green card as expected.

I went to other lawyers before him and he was the only one who really did care about my case.

I highly recommend his services for all your immigration needs.

To live in the U.S without legal documentation is very hard

My wife lived in the U.S for 29 years without legal papers. She has been hiding, scared and already losing hope, until we met Attorney Joseph.

Attorney Joseph worked very hard on her asylum case and deportation proceedings, and my wife was granted permanent residency in just two court hearings.

Severino

Insightful but honest - this is absolutely crucial when it comes to immigration needs

Amazing service! Ram is insightful but honest - he won't water down any information for the sake of comfort, but will tell you the facts straight.

My wife and I were well prepared for our interview thanks to Ram and his team.

My case was extremely difficult

My case was extremely difficult and a waiver was needed to get an approval.

Attorney Ram handled my immigration case with great precision and commitment.

Extreme hardship waiver was approved and I got my green card, and just a couple weeks ago I got my U.S Citizenship.

We highly recommend Ram for all immigration solutions!

Ram guided us painstakingly through every step of this arduous process.

Even when my husband’s H1B got an RFE, Ram explained all our options and promptly responded to everything.

We received our green card finally and are very thankful to Ram and his team.
